Mandy Pillay
Mandy is an Audiologist and Speech Therapist who currently works in the upper highway area, delivering comprehensive Audiology services to the community. Being affiliated to the Health Professionals council and the South African Speech Language and Hearing Association, drives her to provide professional hearing care and encourages continuing education. She believes in patient centered care focusing on the delivery of accurate diagnostics and dispensing premium quality hearing devices. She works very closely in collaboration with her colleagues in the greater medical fraternity to ensure patients are receiving the best quality of care.
Mandy graduated as an Audiologist and Speech Therapist from University of KwaZulu Natal in 1992 and later obtained a post graduate certificate on Assessment and Management of Vertigo from University of Cape Town. She started her first practice at Life’s Crompton hospital in 1997, expanded to Le Domaine in 2007, and then to Busamed’s Hillcrest Private Hospital in 2012.
She specializes in vertigo/ balance and dizziness disorders, newborn hearing testing, industrial audiology as well as general hearing tests and fitting of hearing aids. Her practice at Le Domaine is a fully diagnostic facility, including a soundproof booth and audiometer. She works with a vast population group, from neonates to the elderly; and is able to conduct diagnostic hearing assessments, hearing aid trials and fittings, tinnitus management, and assessments of vertigo and dizziness. She is an authorized dispenser of hearing aids and assistive devices for all ages, and choses to partner with premium international hearing aid brands to ensure her patients receive the best quality hearing and product support.
Her deep roots working and living in Hillcrest has helped her to better understand the needs of her patients and the community at large.
